Honoured with The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service
The Management Committee of the Halesowen/Dudley Yemeni Community Association are proud to announce that today on the 2 June 2022 we have received the wonderful news that we have been chosen by Queen Elizabeth II to receive the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
We are absolutely thrilled and honoured to be receiving The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a voluntary group can receive in the UK. This moment is extra special celebrating Queen’s Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee.
We are hugely thankful for all our incredible team of volunteers who are the solid foundation in all the work and effort in ensuring and providing the vital services serving hundreds of people. This prestigious award is in honour of their magnificent contribution to serving the community.
Together we have helped some of the most vulnerable people within the community especially during the worldwide Covid 19 Pandemic, the most difficult period in recent history. We work in partnerships with many groups and organisations from educational, health, employment training, recreational to provide the vital services that meet the needs and demands of the local community.
The Halesowen/Dudley Yemeni Community Association has developed at an incredible pace over the last 15 years. We would like to thank the Yemeni Community within the Halesowen and the wider Dudley Borough for their incredible support and generous donations over many years which has contributed towards the completion of a new purpose-built state of the art community building that is now a major dynamic vibrant hub for the whole community.
The Yemeni community celebrates this award and historic event, we thank all that have made this happen. We are all stronger together.

فخورون بنيل جائزة الملكة للعمل التطوعي.
يسر الجالية اليمنية بهليزوين أن تعلن هذا اليوم 2 يونيو 2022 عن نيلها جائزة الملكة إليزابيث الثانية للعمل التطوعي.
نحتفل اليوم بنيل جائزة الملكة، وكلنا فخورون بالحصول على أعلى جائزة ملكية للعمل التطوعي.
إننا في غاية الشرف والسعادة بحصولنا على جائزة الملكة للعمل التطوعي، إذ أنها أعلى جائزة يمكن أن تحصل عليها جمعية خدمية في المملكة المتحدة. إنها لحظة فارقة للغاية نحتفل فيها بيوبيل الملكة إليزابيث الثانية البلاتيني.
نحن ممتنون كل الامتنان لجميع فريقنا الرائع من المتطوعين الذين يمثلون الركيزة الأساسية في جميع الأعمال والجهود المبذولة لضمان وتقديم الخدمات الضرورية التي تخدم المئات من البشر، وهذه الجائزة المرموقة إنما هي تكريم لمساهمتهم الرائعة في خدمة المجتمع.
لقدعملنا جنباً إلى جنب وساعدنا بعض من الناس الذين يعدون الأكثر ضعفًا في المجتمع خاصة خلال جائحة كوفيد 19 التي اجتاحت العالم بأسره، والتي تعد أصعب فترة في التاريخ الحديث. إننا نعمل بشراكة مع العديد من المجموعات والمنظمات التي تعمل في إطار التعليم والصحة والتدريب الوظيفي والترفيهي لتوفير خدمات أساسية تلبي احتياجات ومتطلبات المجتمع المحلي.
تَطوًرت الجالية اليمنية بهليزوين/محافظة ددلي بسرعة مذهلة على مدار الخمسة عشر عاماَ الماضية. وبهذه المناسبة نشكر أبناء الجالية اليمنية بمدينة هليزوين بل بمحافظة ددلي على دعمهم اللامحدود وتبرعهم السخي طيلة سنوات عديدة حيث ساعد ذلك الدعم الكبيروالعطاء الكريم في بناء مركز جديد نابض بالحياة يُقدَم الخدمة لجميع أفراد المجتمع بمدينة هليزوين وضواحيها.
نشكر كل من ساهم في هذا الإنجاز الرائع، إذ أن قوتنا تكمن في وحدتنا.

£10k Grant for youth activities - Big lottery Community fund
Halesowen/Dudley Yemeni community association has been awarded a grant of £10k in April 2023 from Awards for All – National lottery Community fund for youth activities.
COMMUNITY-BASED CHARITY OF THE YEAR
On this day the 18th May 2021 The Halesowen/ Dudley Yemeni Community Association are proud and honoured to have received the Central England Prestige Award 2020/21 as Community Based Charity of the Year. The Chairman Marwan Bakaili and the Vice Chairman Saiff Salih represented the HDYCA at the special event held at the Moor Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield. This award will not have been possible without the hard work and commitments of our staff,volunteers and all members of the Yemeni Community within Halesowen and Dudley. We are humbled that we have received this prestigious award . This we have accepted on behalf of our wonderful community. Congratulations to all!
